The hospital had a holiday party for all the families on the floor last night, with food and presents for all. Morgan really enjoyed herself. We continue to have challenges with the tummy, but Morgan is doing her best to “work thru” it. It becomes a wait and see game as we watch to see […]

Morgan continues to eat like a trucker – I apologize to any dainty truck drivers out there. Loving her carbs like nobody’s business! Also loving her math work in school – she keeps having me quiz her on double digit addition. Watch out Tr. Carol and Tr. Liz. I will be going to the outpatient […]

OK, sorry I did not write over the weekend, but even the girl/guy upstairs took one day of rest, I just waited and put 2 days together.   Morgan had a good weekend.   The medicine she is taking does seem to make her tired, so she has started taking some cat naps, or just laying down […]

Morgan’s results are in, and we are still at M3. I would love to be able to tell you what exactly that means, but I don’t remember. Ultimately, Morgan is not in the low percentages, but the doctors are not concerned. We will continue on the path we are on and see how her counts […]

Morgan did really well with her LP today, we should have results tomorrow. Morgan is helping the art teacher decorate the oncology wing where we are staying. The teachers here really try to keep all the kids spirits up by making where we stay really festive. Her appetite continues to grow…and my waist line is […]

Getting ready for our third LP tomorrow.  This is when they check Morgan’s bone marrow to see if they were able to get rid of as many blasts (pre-B cells) as they could with the last 2 rounds of chemotherapy.  We have our fingers crossed that we receive the news that she hits the percentages […]

So today I learned all about Morgan’s “counts.”  We measure Morgan’s progress by 4 factors: White Blood Cells, Hemoglobin (red blood cells), Platelets, and Absolute Neutrophil Count (ANC).  When Morgan’s ANC gets below 300 she becomes more at risk for infection and fever.  This is when visiting becomes more of a  question.  Morgan LOVES when all […]

Morgan is continuing on the right track with her treatments.  Her belly is still somewhat of a challenge because of her medications, but that has not stopped her appetite.  Morgan has decieded to cut her hair next week to get a little more used to not having hair.  We think this is a good first […]

I don’t know about Morgan, but I am Exhausted!!!  Thank you so much for all the friends and family that visited this weekend: Grammy, Pop Pop, Allura, Max, Camryn, Amy, Mary Elizabeth, Mazie, Dasha, Polley, Ava, Ben, Natalie, Mercedes…if I forgot anyone forgive me.  I mean SERIOUSLY, this girl has an amazing cheering section! We received […]

22 days to go…

We received news from the doctors regarding her most recent LP.  Everything seems to be on track, which is GREAT NEWS!  Morgan had her second round of chemotherapy yesterday, and was only a little sick.  A visit today from her friend Naomi was a HUGE medicine boost to her feeling better. THANKs Naomi! I have received […]
