Take me out to the Ball Game…
The well wishes paid off, as Morgan’s Dad’s blog shows! See the Newsletter from St. Peter’s below: When Mrs. Moore (Prekindergarten Teacher) and Mrs. Seltzer (Early Childhood Division Director) took their Prekindergaten friends, Mason Siegel and Drew Cohen, to the Phillies game on May 31, they also brought with them the get-well wishes of the […]
Lucky 13…
Day 12 we had 55 cells, an increase in white blood and PLTS, no ANC. DAY 13, we have 35 cells, platelettes are up as well as white blood and toot the horn! ANC of 75….woo hoo!!!! We will be on the number roller coaster ride for a while, but things are on the right track….gooooooooo […]
The start of something new…
We are on Day 11 after transplant, which is the critical time for us to be on the lookout to see how Morgan is taking to the donor cells. As I mentioned before, Day 11 – 21 are our watchout days. Today Morgan had 20 cells that were able to be counted, none that gave […]
Tick, Tock…
I have received many calls and texts asking what is going on with Morgan’s recovery. Well, at this point we are just waiting to see how the donor cells and Morgan react. The transplant team say that day 11 – 21 are the most critical after transplant. We are on day 9. It’s frustrating, but […]
A Pain in the…
Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. Morgan had visits from nannies past and present, as well as Grammy, Pop pop, Alec (donald duck) and Keli. She got the Wii this weekend, and has since kicked many visitors…toes… at bowling and golf. Her energy level is moderate most of the time so she has just […]
Happy Birthday Morgan…
May 20, 2009: 6:50pm, It’s a Girl! 78lbs (not sure how many ounces), 66 inches. Happy Birthday Morgan! The “transplant” will take approximately 3 hours. It’s actually anti-climatic, it just drips down through her broviac. Morgan did not understand the big deal, and why there were 4 nurses watching at the window to her room […]
No rest for the weary…
This week has been packed full of treatments for Morgan. We started with the chemo where she needed to take showers every 6 hours (which strangely, she seemed to enjoy, even at 4am). Next chemo treatment had us up every 2 hours to “pee” so that the chemo would flush out of her system…really loved […]
And the beat goes on…
Day two of the chemo I can’t pronounce, and our fifth shower, clothes and bedding change. Morgan is doing great. A little nausea, but the Zofran seems to be helping some. Today she had art with the Art Therapy teacher, and of course LOVED that. She will have private art time every Tuesday and Friday. […]
Flashes of Hope…
We checked in today for the battle of, literally, our lives. The positive wishes and thoughts are truly felt and heard. It is a scary time, and Morgan is so strong, it’s hard not to be strong for her. My biggest fear for today, was the taking of the liquid medicine that I was told […]
Tea for 2 (plus)…
For Morgan’s last day “out”, we threw together a quick tea with some of her friends at my old haunt, The Bellevue. Fun was had by all, and the girls behaved so well, I may just have to do that again…especially the cocktails in the lounge with the parents!
